Hi. Well September 12th marks a milestone birthday for me! I'm not saying which one....I'm sure my beloved friends and colleagues will make sure that is broadcast far and wide......but a birthday does get you to thinking back and wondering how you got where you are. I'm starting with the "remember when" stuff.....I am old enough to remember milk being delivered to the front door by a milk man ( ours name was Cal). I remember 8 track tapes and vinyl records and dial up phones. I worked in a radio station with manual typewriters and we made copies with carbon paper in between sheets of real PAPER. Primitive, I know....but it worked! I remember my mom giving me a Toni perm ( that smelled dreadful) over the kitchen sink on Saturday night while we watched Lawrence Welk. When she combed it out, I looked like Buckwheat ! Then she made me go to church wearing kilts and tams and knee socks and this bushy hair.....its a wonder I had any friends at all. Fast forward to now.....no milk men anymore....everythings digital....hardly any paper being used and I don't perm my hair at all anymore. I do , however, color it purple. Lots of good memories and hopefully lots more to come.
