Have you heard that Hasbro is making a Canadian version of Monopoly?   Barrie has been pre-selected as one of 65 cities you can vote for and if we make the top 20...they put us on the board!!!!  Hey, we already have our own Park Place  ( or will soon????)!!!! Barrie councillor Andrew Prince launched a Facebook group hoping to encourage citizens or others who just love Barrie to vote for our city.  Search on Facebook for Vote Barrie for Monopoly or you can go to the website www.monopolyvote.ca.   The city with the most votes will become the highest rental property ie Boardwalk.   I just don't want us to be the Marvin Gardens of the game.    That wouldn't be quite so cool.  Can you imagine if they changed the playing pieces....and one was the spiritcatcher????  A trip to emergency with stab wounds after every round!   Instead of going to jail.....they could send you to the "five points" from where you never find your way again!!!!  When you buy a hotel....you could buy the White Rose for a really cheap price!!!!!!   I'm just sayin'......    So let's get behind this....we can vote not through February 7th and then there may be two more special votes to fill out the 22 spaces on the board.  Go Barrie!!!
