Good morning and welcome to Friday's blog! I am running around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to wind up some last minute details before I head out on vacation for a week...

I say "vacation"...as if I'll be sunning myself on a beach somewhere but no...this...will be a working vacation. On Monday, we start our two weeks of intensive rehearsals for Theatre by the Bay's summer production of Twelfth Night...the shortest amount of time I've ever had to put something of this magnitude together...noone else seems nervous...or seems to doubt that we can pull of this feat...but I...I am sweating in my Shakespearean pantaloons a little bit...

Since we have such a short amount of time, it has been "suggested" that we learn our lines before we even set foot in the rehearsal hall...which I've done for the most part but...I have found that you never really know how well you know something until you have to know it in front of an audience...so...fingers crossed that my brain has managed to absorb most of the dialogue....the challenge this time around was that because most of my scenes are with more than two or three characters...I've had to learn their dialogue too...which has been interesting to say the least...I just hope I remember whose lines are whose...would make for funny bloopers if I dont but I have a feeling I will be the only one who would be amused:)

With all of that said...I am off to take on this next life challenge. Am I terrified? YES! Am I afraid I cant do it? Everyday! Would I have it any other way? Not a chance:) This is what it's all about...you put your foot out there and hopefully the bridge will be there...last summer that bridge took my life in a completely different direction...one that was scary but ultimately ..so rewarding...who knows what will be waiting on the other side of the bridge this year...I for one...cant wait to find out:)
