What good is it if you buy those reusable bags from the grocery store and you can never remember to bring them with you?

I forget to bring them every single time I go to the grocery store. I don't know why, but I just can't seem to remember to bring them.

And I forget them even when I'm not in a rush to get to the store. I do my shopping, get to the cashier to pay and she asks me how many bags I need. My response everytime is "Oh great, I forgot my bags AGAIN!! 5 please". And then you find yourself trying to jam as much food as possible into one plastic bag. You end up cracking your eggs and squishing your bread.

I've even resorted to keeping the reusable bags in the cupboard next to my front door so when I'm about to walk out the door they're right there, in my face. Doesn't work! I forgot them yesterday and had to buy bags- AGAIN!!

And it's not only the "being green" part that I love about the reusable bags. When you live in apartment building they make it easier to carry your groceries! You can fill up two of the big reusable bags and sling them over your shoulder like a purse. It would have been nice yesterday instead of walking with 5 jam-packed plastic bags which were making my fingers hurt. Then I had to get to the front door, put the bags down and put my key in to get into the building. Then I had to walk up the stairs, while one of the bags was ripping in my hand and my purse was falling off of my shoulder. FUN TIMES!

What should I do to remember to bring these bags?? Tie a piece of string around my finger??
