I went to a concert this weekend, and now I think my ribs are broken.
It was a pretty hard rockin concert and we got there early enough to be right in the front row against the gate... bad idea if you're a small female, because the majority of people at the concert were big males.. who like to jump around and push.
My boyfriend did a pretty good job of 'protecting' me, he had his arms surrounding me the entire time and he was getting knocked around- well he did the best he could with hundreds of people pushing to get to the front. I swear I thought he was going to turn into the Hulk when at one point he let out a scream and said "I can't hold on anymore roooooar!!!!" I was pushed into the gate so hard the entire 2 and a half hours that I have bruises on each knee from trying to push myself back.
As someone who's been to dozens of rock concerts in high school, I thought I'd be okay at this one. But as I tend to my bruised knees and broken bones (or so I think) I've come up with some concert etiquette... let me know if you agree with it!
Robyn's Rock Concert Etiquette:
Be kind and considerate to the females at the concert. If you can, avoid elbowing them in the face.
Spitting all over the floor is never pretty. Please swallow your spit instead of using the concert floor as your bathroom sink.
I know you're sweating because you're surrounded by hundreds of people in a crowded area, but please, for the love of all that is holy, put deodorant on before you come to the show;)
Wow, I really am getting older! Back in high school I wouldn't mind getting an elbow in the eye in the crowd.. I blame age!
Had any interesting concert experiences?
