I'm noticing a trend on facebook.
I keep getting invited to birthdays and other celebrations from friends who live way too far away.
Sometimes it's a friend who live outside of the province. Sometimes it's friends or family who live on another continent!
Exhibit A
My friend that lives in Manchester, England invited me to his birthday celebration that's going on this weekend. Somehow I don't think I'll be able to make it.
Exhibit B
My cousins Liam and Dylan live in Australia. They are both trained in mixed martial arts... I'm downplaying it a bit. Dylan is a championship Muay Thai fighter... so they're pretty serious about mixed martial arts. Anyway, my cousins opened up a gym together and invited me to the opening day celebrations of the gym. Unfortunately, I couldn't fly out to Australia for the celebrations. But thanks for the invite cuzzies.
And here was kind of a different scenario. When I had moved back to Ontario after living in Alberta for a little bit I had a get together with friends to celebrate my belated birthday. A friend of mine who had also moved out to Alberta sent me a message, asking me why they weren't invited. Um, because you live in Alberta and there's no point in inviting you because you won't be able to come, is what I responded.
Do you pick who comes to your events on facebook, or do you send out an invite to everyone on your list?
