I still can't wrap my mind around the finale of American Idol, I was so sure Adam Lambert was going to win... when Adam and Kris were standing next to Ryan Seacrest and he gave his "our next american idol is..." speech, I yelled out loud ADAM LAMBERT!

Boy, was I wrong! KRIS ALLEN? Sure, he's very talented and is very easy on the eyes, but Adam Lambert can sing and perform way better than him... the only good thing I can think of  is that Adam Lambert won't be tied into any crazy American Idol contracts and he can go and do his own thing... we've seen it over and over again, the runner up on AI has been even more successful than the actual winner, and I have no doubt in my mind that's what will happen with Adam Lambert.

Kris looked so surprised that his name was called, he was almost speechless! I think the two guys both thought that Adam was going to win. And so did I. And so did millions of others. And so did Simon Cowell. Did you notice Simon Cowell didn't get up to clap for Kris, when all of the other judges did? I can't wait to hear an interview with Simon and hear what he thinks about Adam not winning.

I have to say though, that was the best finale of American Idol to date. The Black Eyed Peas were amazing, Rod Stewart, Keith Urban and so many others, I had chills throughout most of the show! The icing on the cake was Adam performing with KISS! I was wondering why he was wearing the most bizarre looking jacket ever... then when I heard him singing Beth... it all made sense!

So I'll end this blog on this note... Kris Allen seems more 'fitting' to be an American Idol... but Adam Lambert will make it just as big. If I were in a popular rock band, I'd be begging Adam Lambert to be our new singer!
