I was at the gas station last night and came across two girls (driving a Mercedes, just by the way) that could not open their gas tank. The two of them were trying and trying, I was about to walk over when luckily the gas attendant was already there to help. I say luckily because I probably would have been no help to them.
I never thought I was a huge tool when it came to cars. A few weeks ago I realized that I, in fact, AM a huge tool. Case in point- it took me 25 minutes to figure out how to open my gas tank.
My car was in the shop and I was driving a loner. I had to put a bit of gas into it because it was given to me on almost empty, so I drove the car to the gas station, opened my door and pushed my seat back to look under the seat for the gas lever, which is where it is in my car. Nope, not there, but it has to be around my seat somewhere. I look up, I look down, I look all around and can see absolutely nothing to open the gas tank.
After 10 minutes of saying "how is it not here?" I go into the glove compartment and open up the manual for the car. It took me another 15 minutes to find the instructions to open up the gas tank. All the while the woman inside of the gas station had been staring at me talking to myself saying "It has to be in here somewhere!"
Where was the lever?
There was none.
You have to push on the actual tank a bit and it pops open. Ah, the simple things in life.
My dad always says whatever you're looking for will be in the last place you find it- why? Because you stop looking after that.
