I think it's pretty safe to say that fans of the tv show Friends would love to see a reunion on the big screen. It would tie up loose ends like, how are Monica and Chandler doing with their twin babies? Are Ross and Rachel actually together for good?
Sex and the City did it. Why can't Friends? Jennifer Aniston said in an interview not too long ago that if they are going to do a Friends movie, they should do it soon.
But, moving on from the Friends movie... there is now a rumor that there's a Friends curse. Kind of like the Seinfeld curse- each one of the cast members (excluding Jerry) branched off and did their own show. And, each show flopped, miserably. Before "The New Adventures Of Old Christine", Julia Louis-Dryfus she had her show "Ellie" which tanked. Jason Alexander and Michael Richards also had their own tv shows. Don't remember them? That's okay, they tanked after only a few episodes.
So the proof is in the pudding, here are the reasons listed by Us Weekly for us to think that there's a Friends curse:
Five years after the hit ended, some of the show's stars are struggling:
· Jennifer Aniston's love life has been misses but she's had a few box office hits.
· David Schwimmer's 2005 film "Duane Hopwood" made $14,000, but he's the voice of 'Melman' in the blockbuster "Madagascar" movies.
· Courteney Cox is returning to her comedy roots: The "Dirt" star is currently shooting a pilot for an ABC sitcom called "Cougar Town."
· Matt LeBlanc in 2006 the same year NBC canceled "Joey," he got divorced following a cheating scandal involving a stripper.
· Lisa Kudrow in 2005 HBO ended her series "The Comeback," but her new show, "Who Do You Think You Are?," debuts on NBC next season.
· Matthew Perry's Showtime pilot, "The End of Steve," wasn't picked up for series, but the star graces the big screen in the teen comedy "17 Again."
