Okay, I don't mean to put the blame on Tim Horton's specifically in Barrie... but that is unfortunately what's going to happen in this blog! I've lived in quite a few different cities in the last few years, and this seemed to have only happened in Barrie!I don't know why, but for some reason in the past 2 years, about 5 or 6 times I've ordered a steeped tea, got into my car, got to work, opened the cup and realized that I was given a coffee.

Well, today, I went back, and honestly, I was kind of annoyed. All of the other times this has happened, I just let it slide and drink the coffee instead of the delicious steeped tea that I wanted.... I opened the lid of my "tea" and smelled coffee, so I finally went back. Want to know what the excuse was for me getting a coffee instead of a tea? Here we go:

"Hi, excuse me, I just ordered a steeped tea and got a coffee"

"I know, I asked you if you ordered a coffee or a tea and you shook your head at a coffee"

"Um, no, no I didn't. I ordered a tea, why would I say yes to a coffee?"

And so I left.... but you know what plagued my mind? If that was the cup that got away... if that was the roll up the rim cup that had the 10,000 dollar prize... or the car.... Or maybe, that was the cup that was the loser and my new steeped tea cup (the actual drink that I ordered) would be the big winner. So, as I write this blog, I am opening up the rim.... jeez these cups can be tricky to open when you have fake nails... and the verdict is? Try Again.

Maybe the coffee that they gave me by mistake was the cup that got away?
