I know it's the most popular sport in the world and everyone's driving around with German or Netherland flags on their cars right now.  I'm not German, nor am I Dutch.  And my apologies to the Spanish or Uruguayans (that can't be right is it?).  I just don't get the World Cup thing.  I appreciate the athleticism.  I know there's great skill and soccer..oops football tactics happening on the field...oops again.  It's "pitch."  Don't even get me going on those vuvuzela horns sounding like a constant buzzing of bees in the South African stadiums.  I just find the sport exceptionally boring.  Come on, this from a sport where scoreless nil nil games are quite common.  Yawn.  Maybe I'm not supposed to get it and I'm okay with being in the global minority.  I accept that Canada will most likely never get to a World Cup match.  Give me that gold medal from the Vancouver Olympics and I'm happy for the next three and half years.  So best of luck Germany, the Netherlands, Spain or Uruguay.  I'll be watching golf on tv later this week.  Now there's a sport that sizzles on tv!
