SENIOR CHARGED IN ABDUCTION OF A WOMAN

An elderly Collingwood man has been charged with kidnapping and assault for abducting a woman in New Lowell.
Police received a 9-1-1 call Sunday afternoon about a woman being abducted from the Hogback Road area.
OPP say the woman had been out for a walk and was approached by a man in a car.
After a brief struggle, the woman was forced into the vehicle, and after traveling a distance, she was able to escape and call for help.
81 year old Harold G. Dean has a court appearance this morning.
