7/14/2012

It could be after the weekend before residents in the Virgilwood Crescent area of Barrie are allowed back in their homes.

They were evacuated Thursday after police discovered improvised explosive devices, chemicals and firearms after executing a search warrant.

It's reported as much as 7 explosives have been neutralized and it's still possible that police may uncover more devices.

The discovery is in connection with the arrests of 2 men who lived at the home, both charged this week in the 1978 death of 26-year-old Michael Traynor.
