BARRIE EVACUATION LINKED TO 1978 MURDER (UPDATE)
BARRIE
7/12/2012
Barrie Police and the OPP remain on scene at 30 Virgilwood Crescent in the north end of the city after they followed a lead that there may be explosives in the home.
Just a couple of houses on either side of the residence are currently evacuated while police determine what, if any, chemicals are inside.
Constable Angela Butler of the Barrie Police Service says this situation is also connected to the shooting death of Michael Traynor of Barrie some 30 years ago.
Charged with first degree murder is 54 year old Donald Feldhoff.
His father, 75 year old William Feldhoff, is charged as an accessory after the fact.
The home on Virgilwood is where they both reside.
