It would be a big boost to local agriculture and consumers.
Collingwood's Community Food Co-op is still in the planning stages.
Spokesperson Laurie Prest says the plan is to house it in the former Enterprise Bulletin offices at Simcoe and St. Marie if details can be worked out.
The focus would be on local, organic food.
It would be a benefit to local producers and also assist residents in making more healthy eating choices.
The next meeting to gauge interest is this coming Wednesday.
That'll be at 530 at the Theatre Collingwood Production Centre at the corner of Simcoe and St. Marie Streets.
