That awkward moment you experience as a parent when...

... your kid asks you "what that brightly coloured box" in the family planning aisle at the pharmacy is for.

I think you know what I'm talking about here. I had to laugh yesterday when this happened as I was waiting for a prescription. There was a pretty long line up and the pick-up for prescriptions happened to be right in front of the family planning section. So as I was waiting at the back of the line, I heard a little girl loudly ask her mom about the "brightly coloured boxes" and what they're for. Her mom very nicely said  "they're for... family planning. Let's move to the next aisle, okay?"

I smiled at the mom and her daughter as they walked out of the aisle, and the mom smiled back at me. It was just so cute and innocent of her daughter who looked no older than 6 to ask her that question.

I remember asking my mom so many questions when I was a kid... I was like Curious George. I was curious about EVERYTHING... and I have no doubt that something like this probably happened when my mom was at the pharmacy with me when I was younger at some point.

Have you ever experienced something similar to this with your kids?
