Here’s something you may not know about me… I HATE shopping.  I’d rather walk around in rags than shop for clothes.  I’d rather eat takeout for the rest of my life than go grocery shopping.

My wife understands that about me.  So when we go grocery shopping, she goes by herself and I hang out with my son in the mall.  I think it’s win=win.  I get to have one-on-one time with my son, and my wife gets to shop in peace.

I know marriage is all about give and take, but it’s also about compromise.  I don’t think it’s worth forcing your spouse to do things they absolutely hate.  If you can work out things so that both people in the relationship end up happy, then I think it’s a good thing.
