We are thrilled to report that this past summer we started a new chapter in RVH history as we opened the Phase 1 Expansion, which includes the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre. Following those many busy months we safely and successfully transitioned departments into their new home, while continuing significant internal renovations.

This region’s generosity has brought advanced care close to home. To date, nearly $2.5 million has been raised through the Crystal Classic – but that’s not all. Your support has helped us expand our Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging and Emergency departments.

We couldn’t have done it without you!

That’s because you know that when someone you love is injured, or when you are sick, access to the care you need to get better suddenly becomes the most important thing in the world.

On behalf of the RVH Foundation and our Presenting Sponsor – RBC, I would like to thank you for considering this opportunity to support your health centre and a cause that is so important, so vital, to this rapidly growing community.

Sincerely,

Wayne Dusome
Chair, Crystal Classic

We thank you for choosing to direct your invaluable time, effort, dollars and heart to sharing our vision of creating a future without breast cancer.

The Foundation is making a significant impact to reduce the burden of breast cancer through research, education, awareness and advocacy initiatives with your support. Please mark your calendar for the 22nd annual Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2013.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education and awareness programs. It was founded by a small group of volunteers who wanted to raise awareness and funds for the breast cancer cause. The CIBC Run for the Cure has made great strides since then, while staying true to grassroots and our volunteer founders’ vision.

Last year, Canadians united to raise over $30 million in the 2012 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure. The fundraising efforts and volunteer support of over 170,000 annual participants allows the Foundation to continue funding groundbreaking research, education, awareness and advocacy initiatives.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is extremely grateful for this support and is honoured to be entrusted by the nation to continue to lead the way towards our vision of creating a future without breast cancer.
