Our favourite recipe: Gone Fishing Chex Mix

Pack up this whimsical snack mix anytime you need a cheesy snack to go; it's not just for fishing!

Ingredients:

3 tbsp (45 mL) butter or margarine
9 cups (2.25 L) Rice Chex* cereal
2 cups (500 mL) tiny pretzel fish-shaped crackers
2 cups (500 mL) bite-size cheese crackers
1 pkg (1 oz/28 g) ranch dressing and seasoning mix
1/2 cup (125 mL) grated Parmesan cheese

Method:

• In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in cereal and crackers until evenly coated. Stir in dressing mix and cheese until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 3 minutes, stirring after every minute. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15 minutes. Store in airtight container
